Q. What are your payment options?
A. I accept all major credit cards and payment through Shop Pay including Shop Pay Later/Affirm options offered through Shopify.
Q. What happens if I need to return an item?
A. All my work is guaranteed! I allow 14 days from the time you receive your package to return the item. My items are hand-made pieces of jewelry and are to be handled with care. If you do encounter a problem please email me at ShopLaikaJewelry@gmail.com within 14 days of receipt and I will try to resolve it as best as I can.
Returns for buyers remorse or incorrect sizing are also not accepted. Please make sure you’re confident of your ring size before ordering. I do sell an adjustable reusable ring sizer for $2.50 that will help you find out your ring size before ordering.
Sale items and custom orders are non-returnable.
The item must be returned within 14 days of a return being agreed upon, All returns must be in an unworn, brand new condition and in its original packaging.
Returns are at your own expense and insurance is recommended.
Postage is non-refundable.
Q. How long does it take you to ship orders?
A. Most orders are shipped out in 5-7 business days (Mon-Friday). Many are ready to ship but will have the option for different chain lengths etc. that requires me to make or order the correct length chains so it will take slightly longer to ship.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT! If you know it is different please let me know so I can edit your shipping label before I print it and ship your items to the incorrect address.
I provide several shipping options in the USA.
International orders can take several weeks to reach you...I ship through USPS First Class International and I am not responsible for lost packages. While most order make the journey internationally no problem, I would strongly encourage purchasing postal insurance.
Q. Will my jewelry tarnish? Can I shower and swim in my jewelry?
A. Yes and No! When you order a piece of jewelry I always enclose a list of Care instructions PLEASE READ these. They are located on the back of the card or as a separate care card included with your jewelry purchase. It is best to read the directions before wearing....storing & caring for your jewelry item in the manner suggested will mean less care and maintenance will be needed along the way. If a piece breaks under normal wearing conditions I will gladly repair it.
General Care- Avoid contact with lotions, perfumes, and beauty products. Remove jewelry before washing hands and showering. Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaning agents. I do not recommend swimming in swimming pool as chlorine in the water can cause damage. I recommend storing jewelry in a jewelry box will help to prevent tarnishing when you are not wearing it.
Q. What if I need a jewelry item repaired or just need some maintenance on my jewelry?

Q. What makes your jewelry sustainable?
A. I use recycled sterling silver sheet and findings from at Rio Grande Jewelry Supply t has exactly the same quality and characteristics as .925 sterling silver but with a much smaller carbon footprint! Neat huh?
I also recycle my own sterling silver metal scraps from previous projects by melting in a jewelry crucible and using my rolling mill to form it into fresh sheets to create more jewelry!
Another way I recycle my sterling silver is that I gather them and send off to a refiner to clean out the impurities and form back into useable metal. Nothing is wasted!
My favourite thing about working with precious metal is that it's infinitely recyclable so you don't have to worry about contributing to landfill from production waste or simply when your jewelry becomes too worn or broken to wear anymore.
Ethical Sourced Gemstones-
The mining of gemstones generally isn't as harmful to the environment as diamond mining as they're operated on much smaller-scale and don't usually involve pit mining; but it can be similarly problematic in terms of working conditions and miners being paid fair wages.
I often use gemstones from USA sourced gems and USA based local and individual lapidary artists. I travel to the Tuscon Gem and Mineral Show in Arizona to meet gemstone vendors face to face and ask about their sources. If I get a dodgy answer I do not buy from them. I use Lab-Grown gemstones which are ethical as they are made in laboratory conditions which replicate earth formations. Also Rio Grande Jewelry Supply offers a vast array of American Mined Gemstones from all over the USA from Oregon Sunstone to Arizona Turquoise, all are ethically made in the USA.
Q. Will my order have tons of plastic in it and other extra stuff I don't need?
A. NO! In an effort to encourage zero waste living my packaging is meant to be reused or repurposed including muslin jewelry bags, recycled paper or pine wood gift boxes. Your mailing envelope is by ECOenclose and is 100% recycled paper and can be recycled with mixed used materials.
PAPER- I try to keep all paper that is not needed to a minimum and therefore do not included receipts or packing slips with your order unless requested. All office paper that is used for any print outs that may be included in your order is out of 100% post consumer recycled paper. Also your item comes wrapped in 100% Recycled Tissue Paper that is Made in the USA. I am always looking to find new ways to refuse,reduce,reuse, repair,recycle,+ repurpose!
